Patriots fans say they’re ‘back’ as Tom Brady poses with New England’s rookie quarterback Drake Maye

Following Tom Brady’s photo with the team’s rookie quarterback, Drake Maye, at a Fanatics event in Los Angeles, supporters of the New England Patriots have declared that the team is “back” in the big time.

In an Instagram image shared by Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin, the six-time Super Bowl winner and third overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft was beaming during a morning meeting with fellow rookies on Sunday, discussing “sports and business.”

Jay-Z was among the other guests, along with rookie quarterbacks Jayden Williams and Caleb Williams.

Maye concluded his first experience with NFL training earlier this month on May 11 at the Patriots’ rookie minicamp. Given that the 21-year-old had spent “all night” at the team facilities on May 10, New England head coach Jerod Mayo provided some insight into the player’s work ethic.

Our arrival time is from 7 to 9 o’clock. After practice behind Gillette Stadium, Maye stated, “Go in for a lift, then we have some meetings.” Being with the boys for the first time is the nicest part of minicamp. Together, we are at the hotel. Since we are directly across the hallway from one another, we will watch the movie together and go over the scripts for the following day.
There is nothing more for us to do up here. What about football instead?

Wide receiver Ja’Lynn Polk, who was selected one round after Maye, is among the several rookies who have already benefited from the laser focus.

“Guy is capable of handling it.” extremely self-assured and outspoken. Polk affirmed, ‘He’s a leader. “He is attempting to get guys moving and performing at a high level during practice by setting the tone.” This is all unfamiliar to us. To get everyone on the same page, we’re still learning and getting to know one another.
Since coming to New England, Maye has made it a point to concentrate on the basics, specifically footwork.Patriots head coach Jerod Mayo was impressed with Maye's worth ethic at the team's rookie camp earlier in May

I’m experimenting with two different stances that I’m learning to employ. Simply increasing your repetitions,’ Maye remarked. “Footwork is enormous.” That’s not something that’s simple.

Learning about the weather in the area will be part of the learning curve after playing collegiate ball at North Carolina. There was a strong wind during practice, which might be a sign of things to come in November and December.

Mayo remarked, “I have no doubt that he will put in the time, but he has a lot to work on.”
