The NFL has set an enticing five-game schedule for the 2024 International Games, with London, Munich, and Sao Paulo hosting some of the league’s top talent.
The Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles will face off in Brazil’s capital in Week 1, but the UK and Germany fixtures have already been scheduled as preparations for the 2024 season continue.
According to the statement, the New York Jets will return to London for a big regular-season game against the Minnesota Vikings in early October.
The October 6 game will be the Jets’ second trip across the Atlantic in three years, but it will be quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ first visit in the United Kingdom with his new squad.
The Chicago Bears will face the Jacksonville Jaguars a week later at the same stadium, where they will play their 12th and 13th games this season in London.
A week later, the Jags travel to Wembley Stadium, where they will face the New England Patriots, who will be starting their new era without Bill Belichick, on October 20.
On November 10, the focus shifts to Munich and the Allianz Arena, where the Carolina Panthers and New York Giants will square off.
‘We are happy to announce these thrilling matchups in London and Munich, as well as the historic inaugural game in Sao Paulo, Brazil, to complete the 2024 International Games program,’ NFL Executive Vice President, Club Business, Major Events & International Peter O’Reilly explained.
‘As the league and its 32 teams pursue international growth, we look forward to expanding on the fantastic fan experiences witnessed in Europe while introducing the game to new fans in South America.’
The full NFL schedule will be announced tonight at 8 p.m. ET, with fans excited to find out where their team will play in 2024 and 2025.
The league and its networks have been drip-feeding information over the last few days, with the Kansas City Chiefs confirming that they will open the 2017 season at home against the Baltimore Ravens.
