American comedian Andrew Schulz has disclosed the cause of Tom Brady’s ire towards Jeff Ross at the former quarterback’s Netflix parody, asserting that everyone present was forewarned not to make any references to New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft during the event.
Brady, 45, openly expressed his disapproval of Ross’ joke on Sunday, urging the comic to “not do that s**t again” in front of the audience. The joke was about Kraft “liking” happy endings at the end of massages, as was first reported back in 2019.
Will Smith, who was there at Brady’s roast with other comedians, including Schulz, even compared the exchange to his legendary Oscar fight with Kevin Hart.
Schulz spoke candidly about the event on Thursday.
At first, he claimed, “I think that was 100 percent real when Tom [Brady] checked Jeff Ross.” I believe it to be true since they warned us not to make jokes about happy endings with Bob Kraft because I have a Bob Kraft tag.
“You know, Randy Moss, you make Super Bowl Sundays the only occasions when people celebrate a happy ending with a priest,” Schultz continued.
And Bob Kraft was the tag, of course.
“And they thought that.”I was like, ”Tom asked not to do anything with the massage s**t.Okay, nice. As if the man is here for this purpose, whatever it is. He’s sitting in the f***ing stands, like aight, not getting roasted.
After Jeff finished the job, Tom approached and told him to “cut that s**t out” or “don’t do that again.” However, consider this: tonight is your night, and this is the first comic to participate in a live roast.
“He was prepared to end the entire situation.” That right there is an alpha a** move.
Julian Edelman, a former wide receiver for the Patriots, later disclosed that Brady’s Netflix roast resulted in a chilly reunion between the six-time Super Bowl champion Kraft and his former head coach Bill Belichick.
“The tension in that room though—that could cut f***ing glass,” Edelman and former Patriots quarterback Drew Bledsoe stated as guests on their podcast, Games with Names.
After a dismal 4-13 regular season, Belichick decided to depart the Patriots at the end of the 2023 NFL Season, ending his 24-year career in New England, where he won six Super Bowls alongside Brady and Kraft.
In the fall, Brady and Belichick will both work as analysts for the media.
