NFL analyst pressures Jerry Jones to ‘stop being cheap’ with Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, and Micah Parsons

Houston Texans v Dallas Cowboys

Soon, Jerry Jones, owner of the Dallas Cowboys, will have to make a number of important decisions.

Some key Cowboys players are up for contract extensions soon. They are Micah Parsons (linebacker), Dak Prescott (quarterback), and CeeDee Lamb (wide receiver).

The value of their contracts will increase daily. Amon-Ra St. Brown’s $30 million per season deal this offseason sent shockwaves through the wide receiver market. Jacksonville Jaguars edge rusher Josh Allen became one of the highest-paid edge rushers with a five-year, $150 million deal.

As their market value increased, Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk criticized Jones for failing to re-sign any of his three players.

“Next one for me, and this is one of the continuing themes of the off season,” stated Florio. “When are the Cowboys going to take care of their young star players?” As we discussed before, I don’t think Dak Prescott will have a good year. Regarding CeeDee Lamb, what plans do you have?Every day that goes by, there’s another contract that pertains to that. In the last two weeks alone, we’ve seen AJ Brown, Devonte Smith, Amon-Ra, St. Brown, and St.It seems like the price just won’t stop climbing. How long until you have CeeDee lamb care for it? You had better get it done before Justin Jefferson is dealt with by the Vikings. Finally, we have Micah Parsons. Everything he desires can be yours if you simply give him the money. When will the Cowboys ever realize what’s going on? its lack of intelligence, shortsightedness, and affordability in dealing with its elite players continues to backfire. When will they learn?

What could contracts look like for Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, and Micah Parsons?

Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, and Micah Parsons’ salaries will put a dent in the Dallas Cowboys’ budget. When these three players get their contract extensions, they will most certainly be among the highest-paid players in their positions, if not the top three.

Prescott would undoubtedly earn $50–60 million per year with an extension of his contract. With a $55 million cap for the current season, he is hoping to earn a new contract that pays him approximately the same amount. The highest-paid quarterback is Joe Burrow, who agreed to a deal worth $55 million per season last off-season..

An extension for Lamb would certainly exceed $30 million a season. He led the league in receptions last year while being named an All-Pro wide receiver. He could be looking at a five-year $150+ million contract with around $90-$100 million guaranteed. He could even make up to $35 million annually. For Parsons, a contract similar to a five-year, $170 million contract with $100 million guaranteed seems fair. People agree he’s a better edge rusher than Josh Allen, but you can debate that. Still, being a Dallas Cowboys should help his value. Parsons has 40.5 sacks in three seasons played and is a three-time All-Pro. He deserves a pay raise.
