Is Taylor Swift aware that she put her boyfriend Travis Kelce on a map as a joke?
The pop singer appears to be referencing the TikTok joke in her most recent song, “The Alchemy.”
Swift sings in the song, “This happens once every few lifetimes / These chemicals hit me like white wine.” “How would I tell you that I’m back?” The worst night’s sleep I’ve ever had was in the hospital.
“I circled you on a map,” she says. “It’s been a while since I’ve returned, but I’m coming back strong.”
A couple on TikTok went viral in November; one was dressed as Taylor, while the other featured Travis’ face on a map of the United States. This supported the singer’s claim that she is the inspiration behind his success.
Before they started dating before the 2023 NFL season, Kelce had already won two Super Bowls. Over the previous year, sales of his replica Kansas City Chiefs jersey increased by 400%.
After Swift attended and kissed the field after his third Super Bowl victory in February, fans are noticing multiple references to her new beau in the hit song The Tortured Poets Department.
Several Swifties responded to the lyrics on X by saying, “Honestly, who are we fighting to fight The Alchemy?”
“Why does the alchemy really sound like travy made it to the big game?” a fan account for the artist tweeted in the meantime.
“The alchemy has been stuck in my head all day,” a second fan commented.
In an episode of his podcast “New Heights” from November of last year, Travis—who earlier this week alluded to another song on Swift’s upcoming album being about him—addressed the persistent joke that he’s only famous as the popstar’s boyfriend.
“On the map,” after that.In the episode, Travis said to his older brother Jason, “I’m putting my face on the map, obviously.” A special thanks to Taylor.
Travis and Taylor have made it a point to support one another’s careers as their relationship only gets stronger. Swift attended thirteen of his NFL games, and he has been spotted at a number of her international Eras Tour stops.
Swift in “The Alchemy” also appeared to be influenced by Travis’s Chiefs games.
In the chorus of the song, she sings, “So when I touch down / Call the amateurs and cut’ em from the team.” “Baby, I’m the one to beat / Cause the sign on your heart / Said it’s still reserved for me.” “Ditch the clowns, get the crown.”
“These guys warm the benches,” she continues. We have been having success lately. ”It’s heroin, but with an E,’ he quips.
Swift traveled all the way from Tokyo, where she was performing, to Las Vegas in February to witness Travis and his Chiefs teammates win their second consecutive Super Bowl.
Swift and Travis celebrated their team’s victory on the field by sharing a passionate kiss in front of the cameras; this incident is also ostensibly mentioned in “The Alchemy.”
She performs a song called “Shirts off and your friends lift up over their heads / Beer stickin’ to the floor.” “Cheers chanted because they said where’s the trophy?” and “There was no chance trying to be the greatest in the league.” He simply dashes over to greet me.
Travis experienced a surge in popularity over the weekend after he posted behind-the-scenes photos of himself appearing in an upcoming ZenWTR commercial.
Regarding the Chiefs player’s widely reported relationship with Swift, ESPN’s Pat McAfee also shared his thoughts, saying that “two greats in love, that’s great for society.”
In celebration of the opening of The Tortured Poets Department, Swift even sent several NFL WAGS gifts, which included notes, a vinyl record, and even sweatpants.
Given that Swift was closely associated with Formula One driver Fernando Alonso the previous year, fans of the Grammy Award-winning singer are also speculating that Swift made fun of the Spaniard in her most recent album.
