Retired NFL legend Tom Brady posted a workout video to his Instagram story on Thursday, another tease towards a return to the NFL at age 46.
Brady has already retired twice from the NFL, in February 2022 and February 2023. His first retirement lasted 40 days, with his current stay away from football at over 14 months.
The difference with his two retirements was filing his retirement papers to the NFL and NFLPA nine days after his second retirement.
The video shows a shirtless Brady, still with a good physique, running at a decent pace, especially for what he was known to do during his playing days. Then again, he was not wearing any pads for a helmet.
The current momentum for a return to the gridiron for Brady started on April 11, when on an episode of ‘DeepCut’, Brady said he was ‘not opposed’ to listening to an NFL team if they wаnted him to sign with them.

Brady’s video was posted to Instagram Thursday morning of him running shirtless outsideBrady posted a second retirement hint a week ago in a message on X, where he said ’50k likes and I’ll u̶n̶r̶e̶t̶i̶r̶e̶ grow it back out’ in regards to an old haircut.
One of his former teams, the New England Patriots, are looking for a new franchise quarterback after trading Mac Jones to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Instead of moving forward for someone such as Drake Maye or Jayden Daniels, former Brady teammate and current Patriots head coach Jerod Mayo could look to the past.
Brady also posted the phrase ‘No bull. No excuses. Show up for yourself so you can show up all dаmn day’ alongside the video of him running.
In the post is also three clock emojis and the phrase ’24 years later’ in reference to how it has been since his NFL debut.
In 2022, Brady signed a 10-year, $375million deal with FOX Sports to become the network’s top color commentator, a role that was set to begin this fall.
