Tom Brady, football star with seven Suρer Bowl titles, announced he will think again after retiring on February 1, 2023, according to ESPN on Thursday, April 11 .
During an appearance on the podcast “Deep Cut,” released Thursday, Brady was asked by host Vic Blends if he would pick up the phone if a team called him in case they needed him to fill in for a player. Throwing the ball – quarterback – is injured or not.

“I don’t object to that,” Brady said. “I don’t know if they would let me if I became an owner of an NFL team. I will always be in good shape. I will always be able to pitch. So coming in a little bit, like MJ [Michael Jordan] coming back, I don’t know if they’ll let me or not. But I wouldn’t object to that.”
Blends suggested a scenario in which the San Francisco 49ers might need a quarterback to make the playoffs, and then Brady also mentioned the New England Patriots and Las Vegas Raiders before giving his answer.
In May 2023, Brady reached an agreement with Raiders owner Mark Davis to join the team’s ownership group, pending NFL approval.
That approval has yet to come, with Roger Goodell, president of the NFL Association, saying at its annual meeting in March that the league had “gone through a very thorough process” and that he believed “it progress is being made.”
Brady, 46, also plans to start working as a sports anchor for Fox Sports this summer.
Brady also addressed his upcoming work with Fox Sports on the podcast, saying: “I like this challenge to try something different in my life. It will challenge me in many different ways.”
At one point in the podcast, Brady said: “My career and all of that, that’s in the past in my mind. I was a player, and now my time has passed. Now, ‘how is that possible.’”

Brady’s comments on the podcast, which came while he was sitting in a barber chair, created a buzz on social media and were especially resonant in New England, where the Patriots are planning a honor Tom Brady at the stadium on June 12.
Brady played for the Patriots from 2000 to 2019, winning six Suρer Bowl championships. He finished his career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2020 to 2022, winning his seventh Suρer Bowl title. (KV) [qd]
