The marriage was arranged according to tradition. Mane’s uncle was Mr. Tamba’s close friend. Mane and his wife did not date before getting married. They first met two years ago, when Aisha and her mother visited Mane’s family.

According to Senegalese press, the marriage was arranged when Aisha was a child. The two families decided to wait until the girl turned 18 to finish school. Mane is said to have funded his wife’s education.
Tamba said, with traditional values and what she heard about Mane, Aisha voluntarily accepted the marriage. But as a father, he also advised his daughter to freely make decisions.
Tamba is a successful contractor in the construction industry.
