“I remember when he came to us in training camp and getting going coming off the injuries, and once he was able to get himself healthy, he’s been so consistent,” Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy said after the signing of Hооker’s most recent agreement in the summer of last year. “In the changing room, he is really heavy. He is a fantastic football player and is well-liked by his teammates. You may see his range and ball handling abilities.”Malik Hооker is technically off the market, but he won’t be a free agency until 2027.

Over the weekend, the Dallas Cowboys safety tied the knot with Dayonna Dixon, earning the first ring of his career. Dixon excelled in track and field at Wise High School in her home state of Maryland.

The Cowboys’ current and former players, including Dorance Armstrong, Anthony Brown, CJ Goodwin, Ezekiel Elliott, Neville Gallimore, Jayron Kearse, Jourdan Lewis, Tony Pollard, Juanyeh Thomas, and Donovan Wilson, were all well-positioned to cover the defender in a multi-photo post on Hооker’s Instagram page.

In 2017, Hооker, now 27 years old, was selected by the Indianapolis Colts in the first round of the NFL draft. After suffering a torn Achilles in his fourth season and being banished from Circle City, Hооker signed a two-year deal with the Cowboys in 2021. His next performance in 2022—a career-high 62 tackles and three interceptions—won him another three-year contract that may see him stay in Dallas until 2027.
