Even though they broke up, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are still the happiest family in Hollywood with a love story of more than 10 years and 6 beautiful children.
Before breaking up in 2017, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were considered the most powerful couple in the country’s entertainment industry. The two have built a happy family with 6 children, including 3 biological children and 3 adopted children. The children grew up with their parents in many cities around the world such as Paris, New York, Los Angeles and New Orleans. And did you know that none of the Brangelina children were born in America? Let’s learn more interesting things about the angels of this most famous Hollywood couple.
MADDOX JOLIE PITT – 16 YEARS OLD
Maddox is the first son of Angelia Jolie. The boy was adopted from an orphanage in Cambodia in 2002 when he was 7 months old. Angelia Jolie initially planned to adopt baby Maddox with her then-husband, artist Billy Bob Thornton, but then the two broke up, so Angelina adopted the child alone. In 2006, Brad Pitt became Maddox’s adoptive father after he and Angelina Jolie became a couple.
Angelina Jolie founded Cambodia’s Maddox Jolie-Pitt Foundation in 2003 focusing on environmental protection, education, health and infrastructure building activities. Brangelina’s family even owns a house in Cambodia.
Maddox is currently only a teenager, but he has participated in the production of many of his parents’ film projects. Typically the movie By The Sea, First They Killed My Father – a movie about the Khmer Rouge genocide in Cambodia. Maddox also participated as a guest star in father Brad Pitt’s movie World War Z. Maddox shared with People magazine: “I just try to help my parents as much as I can. Angelina’s mother is a funny person, working with her is very easy and comfortable. Mom is an extremely wonderful person.”
ZAHARA JOLIE-PITT (13 YEARS OLD)
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt adopted baby Zahara from Ethiopia, an East African country, when she was just 6 months old. The name Zahara in Arabic means “pure” and her middle name is “Marley”, named after legendary artist Bob Marley.
Zahara often appears on the red carpet with her mother Angelina. She is considered to have quite a sophisticated fashion sense. She also inherited her mother’s passion for charity activities. Last January, she, her mother and younger sister Shiloh went on a trip to Syria to visit a refugee boy.
Regarding acting, Zahara once voiced a small role in Kung Fu Panda 3 , the movie in which mother Angelina voiced the role of Grand Sister Tigress. She also played a supporting role in Maleficent .
SHILOH JOLIE-PITT (12 YEARS OLD)
Shiloh Jolie-Pitt is the biological child of the Brangelia couple. In Hebrew, the name Shiloh means “Savior”. The girl was born on May 27, 2006, in the African country of Namibia. When giving birth to Shiloh, because she was lying upside down, Angelina had to have surgery to remove the baby.
The Brangelina couple sold Shiloh’s newborn photos to a magazine to raise money for charity. More than 7 million USD has been contributed to UNICEF.
In an interview with Vanity Fair in 2010, Angelina shared: “Shiloh loves to wear suits, her style is just like a boy’s. She likes to look like a boy so we let her cut her hair short. Shiloh even thinks he’s an older brother in the family.”

PAX THIEN JOLIE-PITT – 14 YEARS OLD
Baby Pax was adopted in Vietnam in 2007 when he was 3 years old. Although Angelina and Brad Pitt always accompanied each other when adopting Pax, Vietnamese law does not allow unmarried couples to adopt children, so on paper, Angelina adopted Pax alone. It wasn’t until 2008 that Brad Pitt officially became Pax’s legal adoptive father.
Like his brother Maddox, Pax also participated in the production of the film First They Killed My Father as a photographer. In 2018, at the recent Golden Globe Awards, the boy walked shoulder to shoulder with his mother on the red carpet, and he also wore a badge supporting the #TimesUp anti-sexual harassment campaign.
Angelina Jolie shared on BBC about her children: “No one in my family wants to become an actress. They seem interested in becoming musicians. I think they like behind-the-scenes work more than being in front of the camera, like Maddox likes editing movies and Pax likes music and DJing.”
Angelina took Pax back to Vietnam in 2011 to learn about his roots. “My children all learn about each other’s cultures. They also hang flags on their beds to always feel proud of their differences” – Angelina shared before her trip.
TWINS VIVIENNE AND KNOX JOLIE-PITT (9 YEARS OLD)
Vivienne and Knox were born in France in July 2008. The twins’ newborn photos were even sold for a higher price than Shiloh’s photos – $14 million, bought by People and Hello! magazines. This amount was contributed to the Jolie-Pitt charity fund.
Knox’s middle name is Léon, named after Brad Pitt’s grandfather, while Vivienne’s middle name is Marchelline, named after Angelina’s mother. Angelina describes her twins: “Vivi is very feminine, elegant and sophisticated. She likes to pick flowers from the garden and wear them in her hair. Meanwhile, Knox is a strong boy who likes dinosaurs and sword fighting.”
