Cowboys ‘Take Sides Against The Family’: Micah Parsons & ‘The Godfather’ Lessons

As it often is with life, “The Godfather” may have said it best.

To his poor brother Fredo, Michael Corleone tells him, “Don’t ever take sides with anyone against the family again.” “Ever.”

In the mafia (or at least in movies about the mafia), the idea of a “united front” is very important. The leaders of the Dallas Cowboys clearly feel the same way, since Dak Prescott talks a lot about the team’s allegedly unmatched “brotherhood.”

But right now, the Cowboys family is dealing with… well, some might sаy a “row boat full of Fredos.”

Micah Parsons’ mother, Sherese Parsons, is reacting to claims that her son is “selfish” by an ex-Cowboys receiver who is now a media personality, Jesse Holley.

She Һit Holley back because she hadn’t talked to her son directly and was, in her view, sharing false information about his work ethic, leadership, and team goals.

Holley said, “Micah Parsons is probably the most selfish player on this football team in my opinion.” Micah Parsons doesn’t want to play defense because it’s too much duty.

Sherese told Jesse, “Before you sаy bad things about someone, sit down with them and ask those questions before you make assumptions.”

It’s important to remember that Holley’s points of view can be his facts and the Parsons family’s points of view can be theirs. Micah is the only one who really knows what makes him tick and what’s in his heart. Micah is trying to stay quiet about this one, even though he talks a lot on his show and on social media.

Terrence, who has made fun of Dak Prescott and Cowboys coaches Mike McCarthy and Dan Quinn, said, “When my mom has to sаy something, that’s how you know you’re DEаD WRONG.” I couldn’t have said it better myself.

There’s something missing here, and we sаy this with all due respect for the natural desire of any mom to protect her “lion cub”: “Moms” doesn’t really need to “come and sаy something.” There are now two types of “families”: the real ones and the football ones. This is because she is one of many players’ cousins who have gone public with their fights.

And Michael Corleone would probably want to “Fredo” all of them right now.
