Lewis Hamilton teed off with NFL icon Tom Brady before this week’s Miami GP and received some FORE-some news.

 

Before the GP, Hamilton stated his swing was rusty while playing PR golf with Brady.

For this weekend’s US Grand Prix, Mercedes chief Toto Wolff hopes his team has improved Hamilton’s car.

Wolff, who watched Hamilton finish 13th in Imola after one of his worst weekends, said: “Since returning from Italy, we’ve learned as much as possible from the weekend and in the wind tunnel and simulations.

We found various ways to improve the car, and we’ll be doing experiments in Miami to correlate those simulations and confirm the development route for the future races.

“This squad has showed tenacity for years, and the rough start to this season has fired up every player to fix it.

“The saying ‘smooth seas do not make good sailors’ comes to mind.”

With his self-deprecating golf quips with Brad, Marcus Allen, and Brandon Okpalobi, Brit Hamilton was thinking about his rough 2022 on the track.

Hamilton observed one of his attempts and quipped that he’d stick to ‘driving on the track’ after three years out.

He made his most telling quip after landing a pitch shot a few feet away in the closest-to-the-pin event.

A smiling 37-year-old stated, “Finally, I’m going to win something this year.”

The pair were in deep conversation

The duo talked deeply.

They were later all smiles and shared an embrace
