Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes counts his mom, Randi Martin, and dad, Pat Mahomes, among his biggest fans

Pat Mahomes, the quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs, is supported by his mother, Randi Martin, and his father, Pat Mahomes, who are among his most loyal fans. Randi Martin is also a cheerleader for Patrick Mahomes.

Pat Mahomes and Randi Martin, Patrick Mahomes’ parents, are his most ardent supporters and his fiercest boosters.

“I knew when it came to sports, he was going to be able to reach whatever level he wanted,” Randi stated in an interview provided by FOX4 in January of 2020.

His father, Pat, was a pitcher in the Major League Baseball throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s, and he is the source of the quarterback’s physical ability.

Early in the 1990s, Patrick’s parents tied the knot, and they remained married until their divorce in 2006. In addition to being the doting grandparents of Patrick’s children, Sterling Skye Mahomes and Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III, they are the proud parents of Patrick and Jackson Mahomes, who is Patrick’s younger brother.

Pat and Randi are from Texas

Randi spent her childhood in the small town of Troup, which is located in East Texas, as stated on her website. All the way through high school, she continued her education at the same local school, where she had gone since kindergarten. It is mentioned in Randi’s biography that her “humble, tight-knit town and her parents made her the woman she is today.” Additionally, it is mentioned that her brothers and parents continue to reside in the same house where she was raised.

According to reports from the Tyler Morning Telegraph, Pat hails from Lindale, Texas, and was a formidable athlete during his time spent at Lindale High School. Football, basketball, and baseball were all sports in which the former athlete was recognized as an all-state performer in the late 1980s. Pat continues to be a supporter of the Lindale Eagles and stays informed about the team by reading the publications that are published in the local newspaper.

In addition, the well-known quarterback has two half-sisters: Zoe Mahomes, who is Pat’s daughter from a relationship that ended after his divorce from Randi, and Mia Randall, who Randi also welcomed into the world after the couple divorced.

During the month of July 2023, Randi shared a snapshot of her family on Instagram, thereby demonstrating her affection for them. At a golf tournament in Las Vegas, Randi was seen smiling beside her two sons, Brittany and Sterling, as well as Bronze and Mia. The group was there to show their support for Patrick. It is irreplaceable to be able to spend time with my family. One of the captions that she wrote was, “God is great ️.”

These days, Pat is the host of The Big Mahomes Show, a weekly podcast that “pulls the curtain back on professional sports with coverage of all things sports,” according to the podcast’s Instagram page.

On Randi’s online platform, QB Producer: The Official Site of Randi Mahomes, she shares her life story and photos and videos of her family. Her site’s mission statement reads, “Set a positive example and make a difference in the lives of others by beginning each day with God in prayer and thanksgiving so that Jesus’ light may shine through me.”

Randi also offers custom cameos and branded products via QB Producer, including totes, clutches, sunglass cases, passport books and a line dedicated to “everything Game Day.”

In addition to her website, Randi has worked as an event planner at Hollytree Country Club since 2005, and she is involved with the children’s charity Variety KC. She holds annual birthday fundraisers for the nonprofit to help them raise money for resources to aid children with disabilities.

Pat and Randi are divorced but remain on good terms with each other

Randi and Pat married in the late ’90s and got divorced in 2006. On her website, Randi explains that though she and her ex-husband experienced hardships during their marriage, they have a healthy co-parenting relationship. “After high school, Randi met Patrick’s father and they quickly reconnected and started a family,” her bio reads. “When they met, Randi had no idea that her future husband was a star athlete that played professional baseball.”

The post continues, “Married life with a professional baseball player is a hard life and took a toll on their relationship, which led to divorce. True to Randi’s optimistic spirit, the two are friendly to this day.”

The former spouses frequently reunite to support Patrick at his games and during his milestone moments.

Pat urged his son to quit football at first

Patrick, much like his father, participated in three different sports during his time in high school. He played football, baseball, and basketball. Although he was talented in all three areas, Pat believed that baseball was the one in which he showed the most promise.

Pat shared his thoughts about his son with the Los Angeles Times. “He grew up in the clubhouse, he was always around the game, and he was always the best player on his baseball team,” that Pat said about his son. “He was an unbelievable shortstop, he always led his team in hitting, and he threw 97 mph on the mound, so I always thought he was gonna be a baseball player.”

During one point in time, Pat expressed his desire for his son to give up football after his sophomore year so that he could concentrate on baseball. I just believed that we were squandering time when he should have been helping him improve his skills in baseball and basketball, which are the sports for which he would go to college. Additionally, I did not want him to sustain any injuries,” he stated to the publication.

Mom Randi, on the other hand, stepped in. “She advised him to pray about it and give it a lot of thought about what he wanted to do, and she said that God would provide him with the answers. According to Pat’s recollection, “I guess God told him to keep on playing.”

Now, Pat believes that the fact that his son played both baseball and basketball over the course of his childhood was a significant factor in his development into the quarterback he is today. “You can tell by the way Patrick plays quarterback that he took pieces of his basketball, the jump throws and no-look passes, and pieces of his baseball, the different arm angles, and he put it all together in a package in football,” said the quarterback.

Patrick’s ability to heal quickly comes from Randi

While the quarterback was suffering from a sprained ankle and clearly in pain during the 2023 AFC Championship Game, he still managed to reach a top speed of 18.14 mph. After the game, Pat told The Washington Post, “We got a family motto: Players make plays. And so, he made a play.”

However, Patrick’s father noted that his son does have a remarkable knack for healing — one that comes from Randi. “His mama has some different genes. She’s double-jointed and all that,” he said. “He gets that from his mama. The athletic ability comes from me. That part comes from his mama.”

Pat and Randi are very proud and supportive of Patrick

Despite the fact that Pat and Randi are their son’s biggest admirers, they show their support for him in a variety of various ways. In order to ensure that his son is successful in baseball, the former professional baseball player is extremely superstitious and constantly wears the same clothes. He stated, “Anything for a win,” during an interview that took place on FOX4 in January of 2020. “[What’s working] is working, so you know, you just got to keep rolling it out until it fails.” After that, he remembers himself nearly “freezing to death” while he was dressed in the same white shorts and T-shirt throughout the winter.

Additionally, Randi expressed her affection for her son to FOX4 in an interview. “I am extremely, extremely proud. I am continually saying that we are blessed. She expressed her gratitude to the outlet by saying, “He is blessed to be able to do his dream — to live doing exactly what he loves most.”

“Words cannot describe my emotions,” Randi captioned a photo that she uploaded on social media after Patrick and the Chiefs won the AFC Championship. The snapshot showed her posing with all of her children, as well as Patrick’s wife and daughter, on the field. ️ #blessed I adore my family greater than anything else in the world.

The second post that Randi shared about her son was published on February 9, 2023, just a few days before the Super Bowl 2023. During this particular instance, it was a throwback picture of her and Patrick from when he was playing football in high school.

“It seems like it was just yesterday, yet today I am going to go and watch (or at least attempt to watch) my boy. It never gets old for me to cheer for my children. “I wouldn’t have it any other way #chiefs #15 #ibelieve #blessed,” the beauteous mother captioned the image on her Instagram account.

Following the Chiefs’ victory in the 2023 Super Bowl, the National Football League (NFL) shared a touching video of Pat embracing his son on the field. The caption stated, “What a moment for the Mahomes Family,” and included the phrase.

Aside from that, Randi demonstrated her support for her son’s significant victory by posting some post-game photographs of the player on Instagram. A photograph of Patrick with his brother and half-sister Mia, a photograph of the quarterback relaxing on a chair, and a photograph of her and Patrick smiling together were all included in her collection of digital photographs.

In the caption of a photo that she took of Patrick by herself, she wrote, “This mom’s most real picture of the night.” The sight of it evokes a wide range of feelings, including love and dedication. He taught me how to love without conditions for the rest of my life. He was my firstborn child, who helped me mature and become a mother.
